Focusing on design, fashion and style, Blok is the first Czech magazine for the contemporary visual generation. It presents the most important news and trends in design, fashion, architecture and style from all over the world in an original photographic and graphic presentation. It also features original interviews with fascinating figures and news that you won’t read elsewhere. It is printed in a bilingual edition and you can buy it not only in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, but also in Great Britain, Austria, Germany, Singapore and Thailand.

The concept originated with the Profil Media s.r.o. agency, which also produces Blok magazine. Since it was founded, Profil Media has produced many projects that involved the promotion and use of design and progressive visual styles. In addition, the agency offers specialised advertising and production services in the areas of design and visual styles. The event with the highest profile organised by Profil Media is Designblok: Days of Design in Prague. It is held at the beginning of October each year in the most important showrooms and galleries in Prague.

In 2003, the Design Centre of the Czech Republic awarded Profil Media the Prize for Promotion of Design (for the Designblok event) and the Prize for Journalism (for Blok magazine).
